Greeting Cards - 450gsm

Greetings Cards - 95mm Square 4pp printed CMYK to both sides on 450gsm Silk artboard with Soft-touch laminate to outer pages as standard, machine creased and supplied with quality white envelopes. Available with our range of optional Special Embellishments, Spot UV Varnish or Liquid Metallic Foil - Gold or Silver. 

An optional upgrade to luxury coloured envelopes is also available.

Embellishment Guidance

We find a less-is-more approach works best when it comes to UV Varnish or Liquid Metallic Foil. Due to the nature of the polymer used, we recommend its use to highlight specific design elements like logos, text, or subtle patterns to grab attention. Application to large solid areas should be avoided. To ensure sharp results, we advise against usage on fine lines or text elements, as these may not hold and will always be subject to slight spread.

Although we do regularly cut through the polymer applied to soft-touch laminate without issue, the machine manufacturers advise against this to avoid chipping or cracking, so ideally, we'd recommend keeping any embellished areas within 5mm of the edges of the design, and they should never be applied over the creased spine.

Artwork requirements

Please supply press-ready artwork, ideally in PDF format, set CMYK with 3mm of bleed on all edges and offset crop marks applied.

Where possible, please ensure artwork is centred without colour bars or file information applied; these are not required and often result in files being positioned incorrectly when using our imposition software.

Please note that due to cutting tolerances, we advise that all elements of your design which aren’t intended to bleed off should be set a minimum of 5mm from all edges to avoid cutting issues.

Embellishment setup requirements

Please supply your chosen embellishment setup as a separate page/file with all elements of the design, which require embellishment in position set solid black only (C0/M0/Y0/K100), accompanied by a composite visual showing both the printed and embellished areas.
